The place is family owned and they make you feel like you are part of their family, to the point where I kept on offering to do the dishes after an amazingly delicious home cooked meal (not that they accepted). Liked: Very friendly, family like atmosphere, closeness to Kasberg ski lift, value for money, evening dinners in, tap beer always a simple request away and very reasonably priced. Disliked: Not really a dislike, just a note: The free WiFi and Internet can be a bit congested at times, but works pretty OK most of the time and Gerhard lets you use the computer and printer if you need to. I absolutely adored my time at the Treehouse. This was my little home away from home in Gruenau. Gerhard, Heidi and Sebastian were such lovely and wonderful people. The atmosphere, facilities and overall aura were superb. Must stay in Austria! I will be back to check it out again in Winter. Loved this place. Hostelworld.comNews & Reviews

We jumped off the bus spontaneously and the family owned and run business where welcoming with an open door and lasagne! Accommodation is great, food amazing, well priced and home cooked! The hostels family are so friendly and loving it feels like home, with two dogs who love cuddles! A must do stop over! Highly recommended. Heaps to do and see or you can use it as a hinterland escape. 5stars! Trip Advisor

was just wonderful - the staff, the scenery, the atmosphere and the home cooked
meals were just what I needed. From the first email months ago when I booked I knew
it would be special and it was. I am already thinking of trying to find my way back there
